Rare Side oil fill model fully restored in the early 2000s
Details Specification

Since the prototype was unveiled in 1963, the Porsche 911 has gone on to become perhaps, the most famous sports car of all time. A classically Germanic blend of engineering excellence and austerely beautiful design it remains to this day in real terms, the only supercar that can be reliably used on a daily basis. Porsche produced the 911E from 1969 until 1973, and it was designed to be the more comfortable and drivable of the 911 range fitting in between the 911T (Touring) and the 911S (Super). The designation 'E' came from the German for injection: "Einspritzung" and this referred to the pioneering mechanical fuel injection system (MFI) used on the 911E and the 911S and developed jointly between Bosch and Porsche. The benefits were more power and better drivability with a cleaner running engine. Porsche also conceded that a few more comfort features would be welcomed and the braking system was also improved to deal with the improved performance.     Rare 1972 side oil filler model Fully restored in early 2000s Desirable 'E' Model   This 911 matching numbers Targa was delivered to its first owner in the very Targa-friendly city of Guadalajara, Mexico in January 1972. Being a 1972 model year the car features the desirable and rare side oil filler which was only in production for 1 year due to the risk of petrol station workers mistaking the oil fill for the petrol. The Porsche later transferred to the USA and was comprehensively restored around 2004. Three years later the car was imported to Denmark were it has remained since. The restoration work has stood up well and the paintwork is still very good as is the interior in faux black leather. The 911 here represents a brilliant opportunity to acquire one of the sought after "Ölklappe"-variants with matching numbers and in a most attractive period colour as well.
